Gamet This author
bio is in Patty's own words, and it gives you a glimpse inside this amazing
lady of many diverse talents who is behind the words of God that have
come straight from Him through her pen
over the past several years. She has been interviewed on a
few
radio stations and a small television station over the years because of
the first book "Crystal Beyond The
Curtain", which she had published in 2000. Now she's happy
to be able to present this book in downloadable format, too!
Patricia
Ann Gamet was born and raised in a rather large city. She developed the
cultured style and taste that many city-dwellers had, especially those
in large, sophisticated cities. Yet, at heart she was really a small
town girl; perhaps because she spent so much time at her
grandparents home in a lovely and very small town.
From
the beginning of her life, Patty has always been a dreamer. Her mother
actually encouraged her daughter’s beautiful fantasies, perhaps because
both of their lives were far from perfect, so it was a pleasant escape
from the pain of reality. A father who drank too much and became
enraged was only a small but significant part of the cause of all the
pretty “daydreams.”
Sometimes
the darkness of life can become the greatest source of light.
Patricia’s
wonderful mother was the greatest influence in her young life. Since
the family lived on a beautiful lake, in an idyllic setting, her mother
would push her baby’s stroller down to the water's edge to let Patty
feed the ducks. It was a memorable and fun time, just being out in the
fresh, almost sea-like air. The “quackers” nibbled, usually gently, at
the little girl’s fingers. However, every so often they would really
give her a good “chomping,” as they greedily grabbed the stale pieces
of bread. She just giggled, as mother “shooed” them away from her baby.
As Patricia grew up she became a very adept swimmer
and diver.
Her family called her a “fish,” because she spent so much time in the
water, almost from birth, that they swore she had been born there. In
fact, in her teen years, she life-guarded, and joined a swimming and
diving team. Sports became one of her “things,” and she was very good
at them. She rode horses at an English riding academy, and also rode on
a western saddle, way up onto tall hills… alone. It never occurred to
her to be afraid, or even aware of the rattlesnakes that populated the
high desert where she rode. As she rode bareback, while ascending the
steep hills, she would nearly slide off the horse’s “rump.” Coming down
was another story. It was downright scary.
Then,
when she was only about
six years old, she just knew she had to become an ice-skater.
She watched skaters on television, and loved it as they seemed to
“float” across the ice. She told her uncle, who was more like a father
to her, that he “just had to” take her skating. He chuckled, and then
promptly took his excited niece to the ice arena. That was the
beginning of many years of skating and her even being in a large ice
show. Many years of early morning practices, and endless lessons,
taught by a famous teacher were the preparation for her ice career.
However,
another sport won out; and that was the love of her life, her passion; snow skiing!
When she would go high into the mountains, often alone, to ski, she
would feel “caught away,” in the pristine beauty. Royal-blue skies
against the pure sparkle of white snow were more than just beauty; they
seemed to be the earths, “cathedral of heaven.” She was even asked to
join the “Ski Patrol,” but chose to teach skiing, instead, because she
wasn’t anxious to see broken legs, or even, worst of all, blood. Later
she would become adept at water-skiing,
and she even learned to do some of the tricks, on skis, that she saw in
the ski shows, on television. In school, she would excel in track’ even
outrunning a state-champion boy, who finally gave up the chase.
Laughingly, he exclaimed that she had outrun him, as she passed him by
half a block away.
Patricia also had the occasion,
as a child, to save a
number of people’s lives.
One of these was a near-drowning incident. A young boy was in the lake,
crying out for help. Patricia jumped off a high pier, into the water,
which appeared to have large rocks in it, risking her own safety. After
rescuing the terrified boy, a large crowd of people gathered around
him, comforting the relieved child. Patricia was left sitting alone on
a log, on the pier. Finally, an older man and his wife went over to her
and thanked and congratulated her for her bravery.
It
seemed that “Patty,” as she was called by her family, was always getting into “jams".
When the family was vacationing on the Oregon Coast, one summer, her
mother, knowing that her ten year old daughter was a good swimmer, and
a risk-taker, had warned her, “Don’t swim out too far into the ocean!”
Mother
probably didn’t really realize how dangerous that coast-line was; how dangerous rip-tides have
claimed many lives each year, and how people can be pulled out into the
surf, not only by swimming out, but just from standing onshore, and
getting sucked out by a wave; especially children. Her parent’s
relationship had been deteriorating for years, and it had gotten really
“bad,” by then. Her gentle and kind mother had had “enough!”
As
they argued, which they had been doing for the last year, keeping their
daughter awake; Patty had had “enough, too!” In a moment of
desperation, Patty ran into the surf, not caring if she lived or died.
In fact, she nearly did the latter, as she was pulled many miles out to
sea, in a riptide.
Being in the ocean was a surreal experience. She was really too
involved in the “swim” to think about being scared. Before this, Patty
had swum halfway across the large lake, that she lived on, even diving
into the dark depths, while pretending to be a “pearl diver.” She had
even gotten caught in the thick kelp-forest a number of times.
So
she was somewhat prepared for this “ocean trial, as much as any person
could be in, perhaps, the strongest force on earth!” While being out in
the sea all day, with no land in sight, and evening’s darkness
approaching, she
suddenly realized that she might die.
She had been too busy fighting the ocean, swimming against the strong
current, and then resting by “treading water.” She even thought she had
felt something grazing by her legs, several times. But now in the
twilight, the grim reality finally set in! She was in “Big Trouble!”
Then,
to her amazement, as she looked up into the sky to have a “little, last talk”
with God, she heard a voice from deep within. It was
actually so clear that it was almost audible. He said, “Quit swimming!”
It was a relief! When she finally “let go,” miraculously, she was
actually propelled back to shore. When she arrived on the seashore, she
collapsed, in relief. It was a lesson she would never forget.
Though
much of her childhood may have appeared idyllic; many things, besides
what has been told here, were happening to this girl; even horrific
ones. But, that is the subject of future books. These terrible events were even a part
of what shaped her character,
and though nearly destroying her, gave her the “means” to be able to
write books that would, hopefully, help the people of the world.
The time when Patty was
'commissioned' to write these books came early...
At
the tender and sensitive age of twelve years old, when she knew that
her life was probably coming to a “close,” because of all the
ferociousness she was enduring, a
light came on in the darkness.
When she was on her knees, praying, Patricia looked over at the little
alter, that she had lovingly created, on her toy-chest. Then, to her
amazement, she saw Jesus!
She knew Him instantly!
For
three days she saw Him constantly. Many wonderful things transpired
between the two. In fact, it was not just a spiritual awakening; a
deeply religious time; but it was a “chatty one,” too! “Poor Jesus,”
she thought, as she “talked his ear off!” There were many miracles and
revelations during those three, incredible, days. The greatest
one, for her personally was when she was on her knees, praying
to
God, the Father. As she was caught up, in prayer, she felt a hand on her shoulder.
She looked over to see if it was Jesus; but it wasn’t. Then, she heard
someone say her name, audibly. She knew then that it was God.
He said, “Patty, You are going to
write “Best-selling books!” Not even knowing what a
bestseller was, she ran to her mother to ask her what that meant. An
added wonderful miracle was that the terrors that had
been done to her stopped
and her life turned around. Many miraculous and fun things began to
fill her life, then, too. These would last briefly, but gloriously, and
would propel her forward throughout the rest of her life’s journey.
After that experience, she began to just “know certain things,” about
the future, especially.
She even began to draw
pictures of
thrilling, futuristic, technologies, and new forms of art, food,
clothing and so much more, which will shortly be unleashed onto planet
earth. Patricia had
always felt “stupid",
although her teachers told her mother she should be getting straight
A’s. It was, no doubt, because of the “hidden pain,” in her life, that
she had endured since babyhood.
Finally, though,
she began to
excel in school, thanks to a kind teacher, who took her under her
“mathematical wing!” Patty absolutely could not “get” math!
She couldn’t get the concepts of it, and she really didn’t care. She
had given up trying! Her time in school had not been a pleasant one.
Because of the repressed and hidden things that were being done to her,
she lived in terror, in school. She fought white-hot fear. It was so
bad that, at times her hands would actually drip beads of sweat onto
her desk. There would be actual puddles of perspiration there.
The
children at school who were, by the way, from very wealthy families,
had also found a scapegoat! Because of her being a “little chub,” she was called all kinds of names.
The kids loved to run by her, out on the playground and punch her. No
one was there to defend her. With no brothers or sisters; she was on
her own.
Then, one day - almost out of the blue,
the teacher exclaimed, firmly, “Patty,
you are going to learn to do math!”
She was kept in at lunch and recesses, for months, and her teacher
taught her the rudiments of mathematics. The day of the “big test”
came. Patty took her math test up to the teacher, to be corrected. It
had only taken her half of the time allotted, for the test. Her teacher
corrected the test, anxiously. To her own and all the other student’s
amazement, but especially Patty’s, the teacher exclaimed, joyously,
“Patty, you have a perfect score! The class began to cheer and clap,
much to her amazement, as she fought back the tears of gratitude.
That
was the beginning of
Patricia’s love of learning:
music, (singing), dancing, art, fashion, decorating, architecture,
writing and gourmet cooking were just some of the things she learned
about. She had the honor to be the youngest student, in a prestigious
art school’s music program. She also studied ballet, for years, because
her skating teacher wanted her to become more graceful. Her famous,
European voice teacher and later her college, music professor, both had
well-laid plans for her to become a professional singer or even an
opera star.
Singing
was actually Patricia’s passion,
but even though she did a lot of singing, it was because of family and
personal problems, sadly, that she never did fulfill her greatest dream
of becoming a professional singer Years later, after having been told
by God that she would write best-selling books when she was only
twelve; she began the
arduous task of writing these books that would take years
to complete.
For many years, (whenever she was
tired, or alone, it seemed), God
would impress her to write.
He would, then, begin to pour out His “Messages” to her. They would
come quickly and easily, for the most part. As a result of this effort,
when other interested people heard or read just a few pages of these
books, they
would turn to God!
Patricia is nearly at the end of
writing the six-part, prophetic series beginning with the
title, “Crystal Beyond the Curtain.” She has written more exciting
books, too; ten
in all,
so far. God has shown her that her “Coming-Out Party” is very shortly
going to be “thrown,” and all the 'ashes' of her life, and even other
people’s ashes are going to be turned into “Pure Gold!”
